Ebenezer AME is quiet little country church in Chesapeake City, MD. It has served the community there since the late 1800's. I've always wanted to do a documentary on the church and it's pastor (who happens to be my Aunt, Rev. Cynthia Laurie).

I was able to make time three weekends in November and December to travel to the beautiful, rural house of worship and film a few of the services there. The mini-doc is in the works, but here is a teaser trailer I put together, mainly because I am so exited about the project.

This video highlights the NXTGen youth ministry at New Life Fellowship International Ministries. RJVS was pleased be a part of this positive, impactful project.  The young people were fun to work with and not nervous at all about being in front of the camera. 

We used three point tungsen lighting on the indoor interviews, and LEDs to fill in some the facial shadows on the outdoors interviews.

New Life Fellowship International Ministries is a church that teaches, preaches, serves, and yet still knows how to have fun. Check out the video from their annual Parking Lot Party. There were vendors and health care advisors, as well as a dunk booth and bouncy castle. Who knew "chuuch" could be so much fun? (We did!)
